Arkansas’ state and local governments provide its citizens with everything from education, foster care and roads to police and fire protection. Arkansas communities would be far less attractive as places to live and work if our state and local governments did not provide infrastructure and services.

But just what services do state and local governments provide? What do these services cost? And where does the revenue come from to pay for these services?
