Class 13 Introductions

Jonie Standlee
Berryville - Carroll County

Jonie is a high school social studies teacher in the Berryville Public Schools. She teaches Arkansas history, civics, English as a second language and psychology.

She holds a B.A. degree in history and French from the College of the Ozarks and a M.S.E. in technology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Jonie is a graduate of the Carroll County Leadership Program. She grew up on a working farm in Carroll County.

Jonie believes the largest problem all levels of government face is the increasing gap between the haves and have nots. She thinks the essential quality of a leader today is communication, communication, communication. Jonie anticipates that LeadAR will help her identify areas of interest where she can have an impact so she is no longer content to be a member of the silent majority.
