Karen Garcia
Hot Springs - Garland County

Karen is the strategic program manager for Weyerhaeuser Forest Products Company. As a certified public accountant, she gives leadership and direction for the development of reliable and efficient processes for planning and marketing company products.

She holds a B.S in business administration from Henderson State University and a Master’s in business administration from the University of Phoenix. She is the immediate past state president of Arkansas Business and Professional Women and was named the 2005 Woman of the Year by the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Karen believes a major issue in Arkansas is an inequitable public education system. She is considering running for a school board seat to work on this problem at the local level. Karen and husband, Jorge, have four grown children.
