Class 13 Introductions

Arlene Freeman
Forrest City - St. Francis County

Arlene is the program coordinator for the Lee County Family Resource Center. She is also the program coordinator for the Family Resource Center in the Forrest City office as well and serves as the supervisor for that location. She organizes activities for parenting enrichment, manages volunteers, collaborates with the Forrest City schools in developing child bonding events, and gives tobacco awareness presentations to various groups and organizations in Lee and Monroe Counties.

She has taken course work at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and East Arkansas Community College. She is currently a board member of the East Arkansas Youth Services Scholarship Program.

Arlene wants to use the knowledge and skills learned in LeadAR to educate parents and caregivers to improve their behaviors with children in their charge. She and husband, Dexter, have two grown children and a teenage daughter.
