Leadership Development
Breakthrough Leadership Program

The Breakthrough Leadership Program equips community, organizational, and regional leaders with the knowledge and skills to think and act strategically in the connected economy.  The program is designed for settings where a community or region may already have a strategic plan, or where individuals from a larger geographic area seek advanced strategic leadership training that equips them to harness the forces of change in the global, knowledge-based economy. The Breakthrough Leadership Program applies all ten of the Breakthrough Solutions modules in an experiential learning experience.

A stand-alone workshop, Breakthrough Leadership Skills, is also available.  In an era that requires communities, organizations, and regions to involve their citizens in effective ways, Breakthrough Leadership Skills can mean the difference between success and failure.  This single-day training is designed to develop essential leadership skills for this time of rapid change.

The number of days of training varies with each format.  Participants should anticipate experiential learning, with hands-on application of program principles to real life situations.

For information on programs and pricing, contact vworks@uaex.edu or telephone 501-671-2253.

The primary problem of many [communities and] organizations appears to be a mindset of:

  • survival rather than potential,

  • management rather than leadership, and

  • doing things right rather than doing the right things.

To be successful, we must:

  • see the big picture,

  • decide to lead, and

  • do so with boldness and vision.
