Alumni Comments
Class 6 (1993-1995)

As a graduate of LeadAR Class 6 I have been privileged to meet other LeadAR participants and network with them across the state. The individuals, businesses and agencies who participate in the training programs also realize what an effective program this is and are eager to assist when asked. This has been a great catalyst for my work within the community as well as in my work with DHS. Through LeadAR trainings and development programs I have improved my ability to organize and motivate others as well as actively participate in community organizations. I have gained skills to be not only a leader but a follower in order to improve our community and the opportunities for our residents; to improve lives, provide education and to work with the youth to make their lives more meaningful. I have realized what an opportunity it has been to be a member of the LeadAR family. LeadAR graduates are family and they are there when you need them, personally and professionally.

Class 6 - Mountain View
DHS Administrator-Stone County

Being a part of LeadAR, brought into my life a wide range of people and careers. It brought Arkansas closer because our class became one big family. Everyone had different opinions and we all taught one another. LeadAR gave me some of my best friends and a network of resources. It was one thing in my life I wish could have continued forever.

Janice Marsh

LeadAR is the program that "keeps on giving!"

Besides the wonderful friends that become your extended family and resources when you need them, your community continues to benefit from your project. LeadAR has enabled be to provide 218 youth with leadership skills they can now use to give back to their communities.

Gail Clark
Class 6 - Walnut Ridge
Retired Extension Service Staff Chair
Lawrence County

LeadAR put me in a position to experience people and places and participate in activities that I would never have ordinarily done in my life. What a great program!
