LeadAR
College Credit Hours and Continuing Education Units

College Credits

After satisfactorily completing the LeadAR program, undergraduate or graduate credit hours are available through the University of Arkansas Agricultural and Extension Education Department at Fayetteville. A total of up to six hours will be granted under the following conditions:

  • The candidate must be admitted to the University and to a degree program.

  • The candidate must pay for the credit hours.

  • The candidate must send a set of their class LeadAR agendas and a LeadAR goal/project summary to confirm activities performed while in the program.

Dr. Joe Waldrum submits a letter to the appropriate instructor confirming the candidates’ satisfactory completion of LeadAR.

Continuing Education Units

A Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is a measure used in continuing education programs, particularly those required in a licensed profession in order for the professional to maintain the license. Generally, a CEU is defined as ten hours of participation in a recognized continuing education program, with qualified instruction and sponsorship. CEU records are widely used to provide evidence of completion of continuing education requirements mandated by certification bodies, professional societies, or governmental licensing boards. The records also provide employers with information on training pertinent to particular occupations.

CEU’s are available to participants at anytime during LeadAR. Individuals who apply for CEU’s will be able to earn up to a total of 46 CEU’s over the two years of the program. Individuals may apply for the CEU credits at the end of each year or apply for CEU’s accumulated at any point during the program. Each time an individual submits an application form for CEU’s, a $10.00 application fee will be charged.
