Economic Development
Economic Impact Analysis
Ever wish you had a crystal ball to see into your community's
future? The IMPLAN model isn't exactly a crystal ball, but can help you
see how certain economic strategies might perform.
The IMPLAN model is used to help communities compare the number
of jobs created and local income that would be generated from different economic
development projects.
The IMPLAN model is also used to:
-
Identify the economic impact (new revenue, jobs
and income) of a new business on the local economy.
-
Identify the structure (economic makeup) of a county, regional or
state economy and how it has changed over time.
-
Identify the impart and exports of a county region or state
economy.
-
Determine how economic policies will affect the income of
different income groups and different geographic regions.
-
Determine the economic impact or importance of an industry to the
Arkansas economy.
