Community Surveys
Surveys are the next best thing to mind-reading. the
Extension Service can help you design, conduct, and assess surveys to know
what's on the minds of your neighbors and make plans to help better their lives.
Community surveys are a tool to get people involved to better
understand their community and what can be done to improve local conditions.
Community surveys can be used for a multitude of purposes some of which are to:
-
Identify community needs and establish priorities.
-
Identify housing needs.
-
Determine where people shop and what it would take to get
them to shop locally.
-
Identify local business or industry needs to develop
programs to retain local businesses.
-
Estimate the economic impact of festivals on the local
community.
