May 21.  The Internal Revenue Service hosts a free national phone forum for small businesses on "Calling All First Time Schedule C Filers".  It is presented three times that day, at 9:00 am, 12:00 noon, and 3:00 pm, all Central Time.  For details and to sign up for the time you prefer, go to http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=166814,00.html .  This session will focus on common pitfalls for new small businesses to avoid.  To sign up for a free subscription to e-News for Small Businesses, use that same link but change the word "article" to "content" and replace the numbers after id= with 154826,00  then on the information page it takes you to, hit the "subscribe" link and fill in the little form that appears.
