2007 Extension Excellence Awards - Diversity Award

The Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center received the Diversity Award for its newly-developed capability to report program results by socio-economic groups and post them for public view on the website. The reporting capability was devised by the Center's management information system contractor, ComTech Management Services, Inc., of Amarillo TX, at the request of the Program Director and Instructor. The reports are compiled and uploaded by the Center's support staff. The Web site was designed and is maintained by the Awesome Webmistress, Donna Rinke. The performance data are collected from activity reports submitted online by the clients, whose success is strongly guided by the Center's counselors. The Team, as pictured after the Seventh Annual Award and Promotion Luncheon on Friday, July 27, 2007, are: Donna Rinke, Sue Coates, Jan Rogers, Delbert Taylor, Mary Love and LaDonna Turpin. Absent were Jane Kriigel and Todd Miller. The award was presented by Dr. Tony Windham, Dr. Ivory Lyles and Dr. Milo Shult, all of the University of Arkansas, Division of Agriculture, Cooperative Extension Service.  Follow this link to see the award-winning report.

APAC Program Director Sue Coates congratulates then-Governor Mike Huckabee on his award for "Entrepreneurial Leadership: Government" at the Sixteenth Annual Arkansas Small Business Awards Luncheon hosted by Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Arkansas on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the Wyndham Riverfront in North Little Rock. Huckabee was nominated by Linda Nelson, District Director, U.S. Small Business Administration. The event was in honor of "The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Arkansas Small Business Persons of the Year."
